Sneak Peek of the new MoviePeg for Smartphone and Tablet
We wanted to give you a sneak peek of the brand new versions of MoviePeg, one for Smartphone and one for Tablet.
MoviePeg for Smartphone works with pretty much any Smartphone including iPhone 4 and iPhone 4S, HTC, Samsung, iPhone 3 and 3GS, Blackberry and many more! How is this is possible you ask? Well it’s got a super clever spring loaded mechanism that expands up to 16mm to grip any phone you throw at it (though don’t actually throw your phone at it, that would be bad).
The new Tablet version is the same deal fitting pretty much any Tablet including iPad and iPad 2, Playbook to name just a few – it even works great with a Nintendo DS! Like the original it will come as a two pack for extra stability should you need it but we find that sometimes one does the job really well, depending on the Tablet being used.
So when can you get these “one to rule them all” wonders? Well they go in sale in the next week in the brand new Beep shop – watch this space.
Goodbye Summer
So the summer has pretty much been a washout in the UK. Particularly in the city we are based in Manchester. Many thanks for that weather gods, Mother Nature or whoever you are that controls that stuff. We thought we would say goodbye to the summer we never had by creating a giant MoviePeg ice cream. Sprinkles optional.
MoviePeg QR Video
We are constantly tinkering and playing with stuff at MoviePeg HQ and decided it was about time we gave you lovely people a QR code on our packaging. Aside from world peace and a massive lottery win we know it has been very high up on the list of things you want to see happen. So we armed ourselves with lots of MoviePeg, bundles of coloured cardboard and locked ourselves in our little studio to make it for you.
For those unfamiliar with QR codes, they basically look like giant barcodes and you will have started to see them pop up everywhere from magazine articles, on food packaging and in some stores. When you do see one (see our picture below for what they look like) you basically ‘scan’ it using an app like Red Laser (free from the both the Apple and Android app stores) and more information about the product springs up on your phone. In our case a little video showing the best ways to use MoviePeg pops up.
If you do see our new packaging when you are out and about (it will be in most stores globally this summer) do have a go and let us know what you think.
MoviePeg Friday Facebook Quiz
Hands up if you like free stuff? Hands up if you’re on Facebook? *The whole world raises its hand*
Then we have just the thing for you. Starting today we are launching the imaginatively named ‘Friday Facebook Quiz’ (it took us hours to come up with that one) which means every Friday on our Facebook page we will be asking you a simple movie themed question ‘ What’s the worst sequel ever?’, ‘Best opening scene ever?’ ‘Best Mel Gibson haircut ever etc’
The rules are pretty simple – the person who leaves the answer we like the most will win themselves a MoviePeg for iPhone of their choice.
So, lets get popping.
